Queer

Queer is a collaborative documentary experimental film. The story will be driven by our participants interviews, in which they discuss how they navigate within South Africa as queer identifying people. Each one of them will have a space in which they feel free to be their authentic and true selves. The film is an experience of queerness and queer pride. We are placing the participants queerness amongst other aspects of themselves to reflect how a person's queerness is only one facet of their identity and doesn't define their whole existence. But at the same time, we show our pride in being queer. The participants are all highly individualised but linked by similar themes. By the end of the film we should have established and hero-ed our characters and their identities.
