Matrix I

The latest computer abstract film produced by world-acclaimed filmartist John Whitney Sr. consists of horizontal and vertical lines, squares and cubes moving sedately to piano sonata segments by Catalan Spanish composer Padre Antonio Soler (1729-1783), whose works span the late Baroque and early Classical music eras. In this short film, all motion is along a closed invisible matrix, which is a classical Lissajous figure positioned symmetrically within the motion picture field.
