Crossing the Bridge to Liberate Hue Ultimate Warfare : Season 2 Episode 1

Documentary TV series, filmed in Thailand as a stand-in for lush 1960's Vietnam, covering the deadliest battles of the Vietnam War. In this episode, vastly outnumbered U.S. Marines led by Corporal Barnie Barnes (re-enacted here by Bangkok-based American actor Steve Fahl playing a younger Barnes) must cross the Perfume River under heavy fire in order to breach the ancient Citadel where thousands of NVA soldiers lie in wait. Using fragmentation grenades and M-16's they fight a brutal fight.
