Aka 4.2 Benita builds a treehouse for Jemima with a rope and bucket to lift things up to the cubby. John reads poems from a book including 'Five Little Owls' and 'Tree house' by Shel Silverstein. The wheel calendar reveals animals living in a tree, including a koala, possum, sugar glider, kookaburra and rosellas. John pretends to be a colourful galah with a streamer crest, box feet and red fabric wings. John sings 'Zoom'. Benita sings 'Two Little Dickie Birds' using finger puppets. Through the triangle window people walk through an aviary at Currumbin Bird Sanctuary. John sings 'Squak little bird'. It is eleven o'clock on the rocket clock with farm animals underneath. Benita reads 'Quack. said the Billy Goat' by Charles Causley and illustrated by Barbara Firth. Benita sings 'Old MacDonald' and when she sings about Old Macdonald having a big bird, John creeps up still dressed as a galah and sings along. Benita helps John take off his bird costume, then accidentally takes John's book from the story chair. John retrieves his poetry book and reads the poem 'John', by N.M. Bodecker, about a boy who could take his clothes off, but not put them back on. Benita dresses Jemima in a dress for a party in the treehouse. Maurice attends the treehouse party. John and Benita sing 'Come to the Party'.
